It Started With One Harbour Street.
Nimoryn began in Da Nang in October 2025, but the idea is much older. Lân grew up with classic Japanese RPGs on a handheld console, the kind you kept playing under the blanket long after you were supposed to be asleep. Those small screens held whole worlds, and he never stopped wanting to build one.
The first months were late nights with a laptop at a café near the Han River. The first prototype was tiny: a single harbour street at dusk, one character walking it, lanterns coming on one by one. Then one evening the pixel sprite cast a real shadow across 3D cobblestones, and everything clicked. That was the game we wanted to make.
The name came from two words we kept circling: nimbus and memory. Nimoryn is our way of saying a cloud of remembered worlds, the places that stay with you long after the console is switched off.
We are small, and we like it that way. We believe a small team can still build a world that feels handmade, one street, one lantern, one shadow at a time.
